Saya Takagi (高城沙耶, Takagi Saya) is one of the main characters in Highschool of the Dead. Saya is a genius, and her high level of intellect is her major contribution to the group, though it often causes her to be stubborn and arrogant. She usually stays out of combat, preferring to think of strategies to help the others fight. However, this changes when the group prepares to leave the police station.
In A Time in the Universe, she is a main character in the First Arc.
Personality[]
Saya is mean-spirited, impolie and arrogant, considering that she believes what's right in her own opinion. However, she is actually caring to everyone and looks out for the rest of the group, mostly Takashi Komuro. She acts as a mother or a sister figure to Alice and will possibly scold anyone that tries or at least destroy the little girl's innocence, similar to Smith and Caboose.
Initially, Saya was annoyed when Caboose saved her from the Zombies but as the story goes, her view of the three heroes changed as they arrived at the Takagi Estate.
Saya may have romantic feelings for Takashi Komuro, as shown in Relationship of The Dead.
Her view of Kohta also changes as she now sees him as a capable and respectable comrade throughout the Outbreak.
